Canada Work Permit: Working as a temporary foreign worker

When a Canadian employer wishes to hire a foreign worker, the company must apply for a labour market impact assessment (LMIA) to get approval from the government in order to do so.

The company must prove that they have tried recruiting locally, that it is financially stable to pay the foreigh worker salary for the duration of the employement and that it pays the median salary of the profession. The foreign worker must also have the qualification and experience to respond to the job being offered.

There are some exceptions to this rule, when sometimes one may be exempted from the LMIA procedure.

As regulated Canadian immigration consultant we can help you identify the best path to help you submit the proper application and avoid mistakes.

Book a consultation  in order to determine the necessary steps to apply for a Canada work permit.
